NIH Grant to Study VR-based Virtual Family Engagement

THIS IS SO EXCITING! After 2.5 years of collaborative efforts, we’ve received a Phase 1 NIH grant to study the impact of shared VR experiences between seniors with Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI) / Alzheimer’s-Disease-Related Dementias (ADRD) and their adult children.

This has been a massive undertaking… far more than initially conceived, because the breadth of serious VR research is still so limited. We owe infinite thanks to everyone who has supported us in this endeavor.

To our research partners at UC Santa Barbara– you’re amazing & brilliant…but more importantly, incredibly passionate about this work and its impact.

To our whole team at Rendever – who knew what life was going to be like when we first decided to go for this grant?! Like everything…we took the hard road in order to do what was right for the industry and for the seniors and families we work for everyday. I can’t wait to watch it pay off.

This is significant, and is a huge step forward for a startup using a technology like ours with this demographic that we love. It paints a bright future, and I can’t wait to share what we learn.
