Inc. 5000, a ranking of the fastest-growing private companies in America, has listed Rendever at No. 897, after a record-breaking period of revenue and personnel growth. The growth comes at a time where social isolation was at an all-time high and solutions to connect individuals together were needed more than ever.

While many of us experienced a heightened sense of loneliness and social isolation throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, social isolation is unfortunately not a foreign concept to older adults and residents in senior living communities and hospice care centers. Prolonged loneliness has the equivalent impact on one’s health as smoking 15 cigarettes per day, correlating with a 30% increase in mortality. COVID-19’s physical distancing requirements in senior living communities only exacerbated the issue among this already vulnerable population.

Luckily, our team is full of passionate, dedicated loneliness experts who have been building a platform to combat social isolation for the last five years. As an interactive virtual reality experience, Rendever crafts a social experience for seniors. From checking off bucket list items, to touring famous cities, to revisiting places of personal significance, Rendever encourages conversation and inevitably leads to stronger relationships, improved social health, and of course - lots of laughs.

As the pandemic hit, our team came together to evolve the platform so that our communities could continue to use virtual reality, while maintaining safety protocols. Thanks to this rapid response, a team of rockstars, and increased awareness around the topic of social isolation, Rendever has grown dramatically in the last year. 

300+ communities currently benefit from Rendever’s platform, and nearly one million VR experiences have been delivered to older adults around the world. While most of the industry canceled all group activities, COVID-19 caused Rendever’s usage rates to accelerate, and our customer-base doubled in a one-year span.
