Deserving Senior Achieves His Lifelong Dream

George Hetrick has always marveled at the wonders of nature and his lifelong goal was to hike the Grand Canyon. He is a family man through and through, and has made many sacrifices to build a happy and loving home in Womelsdorf, PA. As he’s gotten older, physical limitations have made his dream seem impossible. According to his family, “George Hetrick definitely does not take life and experiences for granted. He embraces every moment as a treasure”.  

Enter: Rendever and Wish of a Lifetime from AARP. Together, we were able to grant George’s wish in a somewhat unconventional way – through the power of virtual reality. Now George and his family will be able to travel together to the Grand Canyon (and beyond), check off all of his bucket list items, and create memories from the comfort of their home thanks to Rendever’s social VR platform.  We were there to capture George’s reaction as he tried VR for the first time and got to accomplish this lifelong dream.
